Because I grew up in the 90s, I chose to recreate the 90s version of the Easy Bake Oven that I remember, but they do STILL make them! They’ve actually been around since the 1960s, and the design has changed quite a lot over the years. That’s the 8-year-old dream, right?! After how much everyone enjoyed my 90s Halloween costumes last year, I thought I’d add to my repertoire with this fun, easy-to-make Easy Bake Oven costume! Made with a cardboard box, it’s very easy to recreate this fun 90s costume at home. Use tape to layer small-folded cupcake liners on your white mask form to create the tighter/smaller feathers that would be on a bird’s face.If there’s one thing I always wanted as a kid, it was an Easy Bake Oven! Although I never had one, I loved using the one my friend had to eat warmed cake batter.Hide the cardboard base by covering the backside of the wing with more coffee filters and cupcake liners.Make a tube out of cardboard and use gaff tape to secure it to the back of the 'wing.'.Add in smaller cupcake liners for extra texture and make sure to mix in a few silver liners so sections pop.Splay it out on one end to create a wing shape. Starting on one side, attach the coffee filters with tape, while overlapping them to create a ‘feathered’ look.Cut out two oval wing shapes out of your cardboard box.Fold the cupcake liners and coffee filters in half.You need a white shirt and leggings, a white mask form, a cardboard box, white and metallic silver cupcake liners, white coffee filters and tape (double stick tape, gaff tape or strong duct tape).
